UltraISO is a Windows-based application to create and burn ISO image files. It's a great piece of software - at least it used to be - but more recent versions have several issues that users regularly face, and it's not only on newer Windows 10 machines.

Typical UltraISO Errors

Some of these problems occur during the installation, such as Error 5, which can happen if the installation is incomplete or corrupted, or if malware has infected related program files. UUkeys ISO Mate is one of the most intuitive premium tools you'll find for burning ISO images to a removable memory device like a DVD or USB drive. The usage is straightforward, and you really can't do anything wrong with this piece of software. Here are the instructions you need to follow when burning an ISO image to a disk.

Step 1: Download and install UUkeys ISO Mate on your Windows desktop or laptop.

Step 2: Open the application and register with a purchased license, which you can get here.

Step 3: Plug in a USB drive or insert a CD/DVD into the computer.

Step 4: In the software, add the ISO file to the program by clicking "Import" button.

Step 5: Click "Burn" and your ISO image will be burned to the disk or drive. It's simple, it's intuitive and it only costs twenty bucks, so if you do a lot of ISO image burns on a regular basis, this might be the one you've been looking for.

Most freeware will have some sort of catch, including the biggest one of all - no product support except from forum members or maybe the developers themselves. That's not always the best use of your time, chasing up other users or the creators. Premium software costs a few bucks, but at least you're covered if the software doesn't work, you typically have email and chat support, and lifetime free upgrades in many cases. Besides, paid software from trusted sources are thoroughly vetted for malware so that risk is eliminated, unlike with open source utilities.
